안녕하세요 너무 오랜만이네요..^^

제가 좋아하는 곡들을 하나씩 올려볼까 합니다.

사실 올리고 싶은 곡들은 많았는데 여러가지 이유로 안올리고 있었는데요,

시간이 지나니 또 생각이 바뀌네요.

비록 대부분은 너무 오래된 곡들이지만, 여러분과 공유해도 좋을 거 같아 하나씩 올려보겠습니다.

사실 2000년대를 넘어 이젠 2010년대도 중반을 지나 2020년대를 바라보고 있는데요, 

그동안 기술적인 발전과 함께 음악들이 정말 드라마틱한 변화를 거쳤고, 사운드도 지금은 엄청나게 세련되어졌죠.

또한 요즘은 음악들이 음압 경쟁이기도 해서, 소리 크기 자체도 옛날과는 비교가 되지 않구요.

하지만 제가 나이가 있다보니 가끔씩은 80-90년대의 음악들이 듣고 싶어지고, 그 때의 촌스런 사운드가 오히려 그리워질 때가 있네요.

오늘 소개할 곡도 80-90년대에 전성기를 누렸던 CCM 스타 마이클 W. 스미스의 곡입니다.

마이클 W. 스미스는 키보드주자이면서 동시에 작곡가로서 샌디 패티, 빌 게이써, 에이미 그랜트와 같은 유명 가수들에게도 곡을 주곤 했었는데요, 그러다 에이미 그랜트의 키보드주자로 같이 투어공연을 하게 되고, 또 에이미 그랜트 공연의 오프닝을 맡게 되고 첫 앨범도 녹음하게 되는데요, 그 앨범에 그 유명한 곡이자 그의 첫번째 히트곡인 'Friends' 가 들어있었습니다.

저희는 이 곡을 결혼식 축가에서도 몇 번 부르곤 했었는데요, 가사도 멜로디도 너무 좋은 곡입니다.

안타깝게도 오리지널 뮤직비디오가 유투브에는 없는 거 같네요.

비디오는 별로 볼 것이 없지만 제일 음질이 괜찮은 걸로 올려봅니다.

그리고 다음은 2003년 도브 시상식에서 에이미 그랜트와 스티븐 커티스 채프만, 그리고 그 외의 다른 가수들과 함께 부르는 영상입니다. 이 연주를 위해서 새롭게 편곡한 거 같네요. 도브 시상식에서 불려진만큼 감동적인 편곡과 연주인데, 영상과 음질이 그렇게 좋지 않아 안타깝네요.
